Reliable car diagnostics for every driver

At Nextgen Car Diagnostics, we bring expert car care directly to you.

Discover our range of services designed for convenience and peace of mind.

Our engine diagnostic service uses state-of-the-art tools to identify performance issues, check engine lights, and ensure your engine is operating at its best. Prevent costly repairs with our precise analysis.

Modern cars rely heavily on complex electrical systems. Our advanced diagnostics identify issues with wiring, sensors, and electronic control units to resolve problems before they escalate.

A comprehensive diagnostic check goes far beyond just clearing a "Check Engine" light.

What does it cover?

  • Engine Management: Reads the Engine Control Unit (ECU) for misfires, ignition faults, and sensor issues.

  • Transmission: Ensures smooth shifting and spots internal component issues.Braking Systems: Checks the health of ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) and electronic stability controls.

  • Safety & Electronics: Verifies that airbag systems will deploy correctly and checks for faults in body electronics (like air conditioning or infotainment).

  • Emissions & Exhaust: Checks oxygen (lambda) sensors and the catalytic converter to ensure your car runs clean and complies with legal standards.

  • Airbags and Safety Features: Detects faults in the airbag modules and Supplemental Restraint Systems.

  • Battery and Charging: Monitors the health of the battery and detects alternator or charging circuit failures.

  • Tyre Pressure (TPMS): Alerts you to faulty sensors or low pressure in individual tyres.

DPF forced regeneration

Why DPF Regeneration is Essential.

  • Restores Engine Power: As soot builds up in the filter, it creates exhaust back-pressure that chokes the engine. Burning this soot away allows the engine to breathe and perform optimally.

  • Improves Fuel Economy: A clogged filter forces your engine to work harder, which drastically increases fuel consumption. Clearing the filter returns your vehicle to its normal miles-per-gallon (MPG) range.

  • Prevents Costly Breakdowns: If you ignore warning lights and the DPF becomes completely blocked, the vehicle's computer will trigger a power-limiting "derate" mode. At this stage, a standard regeneration won't work, and you will require professional cleaning or a very expensive DPF replacement.

  • Maintains Emissions Compliance: DPFs are mandated to trap harmful black soot before it exits your tailpipe. Regeneration ensures the filter continues to do its job, keeping your vehicle legally compliant and environmentally friendly.

If your vehicle requires a forced (manual) regeneration or forced (manual) regeneration & chemical flush, the danostics test is free.

If your vehicle requires a

Dianostics test is free.

Battery diagnostics and replacement

Why Diagnose Your Car Battery?

  • Prevent Breakdowns: A battery can appear to function normally right up until the moment it suddenly fails. Regular testing detects a failing battery before it leaves you stranded.

  • Protect Electronics: Modern vehicles rely heavily on stable electrical systems. A dying battery can cause voltage drops that stress or damage delicate engine control modules.

  • Isolate the Root Cause: Testing separates a faulty battery from other system failures. It ensures you don't buy a new battery when the true culprit is a parasitic power drain or a worn-out alternator.

  • Maintain Diagnostic Accuracy: Modern power management systems require accurate battery data. A weak battery can cause false trouble codes in your car's computer, complicating repairs.

Why a pre vehicle purchase dianostic health check?

1 in 6 cars needs over £500 in repairs.

The Citizen's Advice Bureau received 84,000 complaints from used car buyers in the past year. (2025)

They recommend protecting yourself by having it checked before you buy it.

Our pre-purchase inspections are reasonable priced for our basic inspection ans Standard plans.

Should you get a pre-purchase inspection?

A pre-purchase car inspection is an inspection done by a technician to determine the condition of a vehicle before purchase.

It is advised to do a used car inspection to gather information on the car's current condition (damage, maintenance, safety) to determine whether a purchase is a good investment.

The pre-purchase inspection checklist focuses on basic physical inspections and does include any vehicle history checks on the vehicle, i.e. whether the car has been recorded in an accident, reported stolen or has any outstanding balances on it.

Why a Basic Maintenance Check?

A maintenance check is a quick inspection of your car's lights, tyres, wpiers, fluid levels etc to spot basic problems before an official mot test or a long drive, which helps you save money, avoid a failed mot test, and can prevent a breakdowns.

Main Benefits

Save money: If your car fails an official MOT and your old certificate has expired, you cannot legally drive it away. This means you are stuck paying whatever repair prices the testing garage asks for.

Fix easy issues: Many cars fail mot test or breakdown for simple things like a blown light bulb, worn wiper blades, low screen wash, critically low oil or coolant.

Less stress: Your car is much more likely to pass the real test right away or keep you travelling on your journey.
